Cycling Group Training
Bike Basics
Jan. 14 - Feb. 18 $90
6 Sunday 9 am 45-60 minute skill sessions. If you have been off the bike for awhile or have a "new" bike this is the group for you. We will cover safety and riding skills as well as some basic maintenance. Meets at Cabrillo College in Soquel.
hills . and. valleys
Mar. 21 - Apr. 25 $90
6 Thursday 6 pm 45-70 minute skill sessions. This group will focus on hill climbing, descending, cycling speed, and other skills based on the needs of the group. Comfort on your bike is a must. Meets at Cabrillo College in Soquel
Club Rides-Spring
Mar. 30 - Apr 28 $240
5 Saturday and 3 Sunday 8 am rides, 1 - 4 hours depending on mileage. This group will get you ready for the Strawberry Fields 30 miler or any multi-day ride. We will start with 15 mile rides, safely adding mileage each week. 3 weekends will be Saturday and Sunday rides. You must be hydration & nutrition self-sufficient with a safe & sturdy bike. Park/start locations will vary.
Club Rides-Fall Series
Aug. 18- Sept. 22
$210
6 Sunday 7:30am 1-6 hour rides depending on mileage. Be ready for Morro Bay Lighthouse Rides (65/75), any Fall ride, or join us to spin some miles. Groups will start with 15 miles and safely add mileage each week. You must be hydration & nutrition self-sufficient with a safe & sturdy bike. Park/start locations will vary.

General Information: Park/train locations will alternate between Santa Cruz, Watsonville, and Monterey locations. Every effort will be made to follow the dates listed below. Any changes will be noted in club updates, training group newsletters, and shared on the cmsbr Facebook page as soon as is possible to facilitate changes. Each participant will receive a group specific calendar & newsletter for each training group.
Kick Start
Jan. 13 - Feb 24 $105
7 Saturday 9 am 1-2 hour workouts. Workouts are a time-based combination of speed and endurance. You will be ready to run/walk any Spring 5K/10K race.
Cheetah
Feb 27 - Apr 2 $72
6 Tuesday 6 PM 45-60 minute workouts will help you strengthen your cardiovascular system. No experience required - just the desire to run faster!
Journey Through Summer
June 3 - July 28
$126
3 Tuesday 6 pm 45-60 minute workouts and 6 Saturday 8 am 1-2 hour workouts will have you ready for our local favorite - Wharf To Wharf (6 miles) or any Summer 5K/10K race.
Stay The Course
Aug. 13 - Sept. 21 $126
3 Tuesday 6 pm 45-60 minute workouts and 6 Saturday 8 am 1-2 hour workouts provide this opportunity to keep moving through late summer/early fall. Be ready for Little Wharf or any 5K/10K fall race.
Turkey Trot Training
Oct. 8 - Nov. 16 $126 3 Tuesday 6 pm 45-60 minute workouts and 6 Saturday 8 am 1-2 hour workouts. You will be ready for any Turkey, Santa, Jingle, or Holiday themed 5K/10 K race in the area.

Open Water Swim and Multi-Sport Training
Open Water Swim Series Not offered in 2024
5 Thursday 6 PM 45 minute skill sessions, 5 Sunday 8 am Endurance Swims, and 2 Wednesday 6 PM Zoom clinics make up this series. All swim activities at Cowell's Beach . Must have Open Water Swim gear and be able to swim 100 yards unassisted.
Club Swims - Fall Series
July 4 - Aug. 22 $121
8 Thursday 6 pm & 3 Sunday 8 am swims. There is no instruction in this series. It is a great opportunity to stay in the Open water and swim with friends. All swim activities at Cowell's Beach. Must have Open Water Swim gear and be able to swim 100 yards unassisted. July 4 will be an early morning swim.

Multi-Sport Training
70.3 Training $150/month
Offered only with an individual calendar option. Depending on your fitness and experience you will need 4 - 6 months of training. Email Coach Melani through the contact option on this site and start the process.
Summer Season
June 3 - August 10
Sprint $200 Olympic $280
Sprint and Olympic distance training groups for triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, and aquathlon, either as a single competitor or part of a relay. Main workout day is 8 am Sunday, 8 brick workout sessions, 1-3 hours depending on distance with additional single sport workouts calendared during the week, some with the group and some on your own. No experience necessary. Park/start locations will vary.
