I coached middle school children for 20 years prior to finding my way to coaching adults. I have been, and am now coaching for great organizations.
Team In Training: From 2006-2009 I coached Marathon and Half Marathon Walk Teams. From 2011-2013 I was fundraising and coaching Triathlon.
Fleet Feet: Beginning in 2009 and still today, I have coached continuously for Fleet Feet. My favorite group there are the NO BOundaries 5K/10K athletes. It is a "couch to race" group with many repeaters!! I was honored to be named the NO BOundaries National Coach of the Year in 2015 for the Fleet Feet Franchise.
I am a founder of the The Mermaid Mafia Tri Club and am honored to have Mermaids in my Training Groups.
Now I am ready to go on this
journey with you!
I am a Credentialed Teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, minors in Health Education and Coaching, and a
Master of Science in Adaptive Physical Education.
Of critical importance is your learning in this journey. The science of movement, how your body moves, how to avoid injury, with an emphasis on safety above all else. If together we create and maintain a healthy, injury free, fun and safe environment - then you can continue enjoying movement for years to come.
My current clients range in age from 18 - 83 years young.
I am prepared to take you where you want to go!
I began my journey in endurance sports in 2006 with Team In Training. I first completed the STP Cycling Event, 211 miles from Seattle, WA to Portland, OR and I was hooked. I continued to raise funds and completed multiple events in Marathon and Triathlon until I was a TNT Triple Crown Recipient. I fell in love with Triathlon in 2009 and never looked back.
Some of my personal goals include: completing the Half Moon Bay Triathlon 10 years in a row, swimming around the Santa Cruz Wharf 100 times (completed on August 1, 2019), and swimming around as many California Piers as is possible.
The picture above really is my office wall with 4 years of bibs and medals to keep me focused on my own journey as an athlete.
